Full Job Description
Your Role

The Principal Benefits Analyst will report to the Benefits Director. In this position you will support many of the programs that make Cadence a Fortune 100 Great Place to Work. You will have primary responsibility for benefits communications, event planning, program management and ensuring an excellent experience for our employees.
• Program manage employee benefits offerings (e.g., Cleo, RethinkCare, Wellthy) and partner with vendors to drive utilization and a strong employee experience
• Conduct New Hire Benefits Orientations via Zoom bi-weekly
• Resolve escalated benefits issues and respond to employees, HRBPs and managers, as appropriate
• Responsible for invoices/payments for all benefits programs and resolve administrative problems with the carrier and/or Accounts Payable. Maintain data relative to premiums, claims and costs.
• Schedule, set up and oversee on-site events (when applicable) and Zoom meetings designed to inform employees and help them obtain the most value from our programs
• Identify, pilot, and implement AI-enabled improvements to streamlines benefits operations (e.g., ROI and cost tracking, communications, reporting) while ensuring appropriate data governance and employee privacy
• Prepare for quarterly 401(k) Committee meetings
• Assist with annual Open Enrollment activities and events
• Other duties as assigned

AI & Automation Focus

This role is expected to actively use and champion responsible AI to improve employee service delivery, reduce manual effort, and increase accuracy and insight across benefits programs.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience within a Benefits function at large global organizations
• Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws, global experience a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) including Copilot; demonstrated ability to apply AI tools to automate workflows, improve communications, and accelerate analysis (prompting, experimentation, and measurement of impact)
• Experience translating business processes into AI/automation opportunities and partnering with HR/IT/analytics stakeholders to deliver solutions (e.g., Power Automate, low-code tools, knowledge bases, or similar)
• Empyrean experience a plus

The annual salary range for California is $126,000 to $234,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
