Job Summary
We are seeking a Principal Azure D&A Architect to lead the strategy, design, and governance of the enterprise data ecosystem. The role will focus on Data Governance, Data Modeling, modern Azure data architecture, Databricks, and AI/ML capabilities while providing technical leadership and aligning data strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design robust enterprise data models, including Conceptual, Logical, and Physical models, for scalable Azure Lakehouse and Data Warehouse environments.
• Develop enterprise data architecture blueprints and establish scalable data architecture patterns.
• Establish and implement Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
• Implement data lineage and metadata management capabilities using tools such as Azure Purview.
• Define and implement data quality, security, compliance, and governance standards across the enterprise data ecosystem.
• Architect modern data pipelines and processing solutions using Azure Databricks.
• Leverage Delta Lake and PySpark to support scalable data engineering and analytics workloads.
• Collaborate with data science teams to integrate and scale AI/ML workloads within the enterprise data platform.
• Guide data engineering teams on architecture, design patterns, and technical best practices.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align technology roadmaps and data strategies with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across enterprise data architecture initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture with deep expertise in the Azure Data Stack.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, and Azure Purview.
• Strong expertise in Data Modeling methodologies, including Star Schema, Snowflake, and Data Vault.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Data Governance and metadata management frameworks.
• Practical experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration, MLOps, or Azure OpenAI services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, governance, data quality, and metadata management.
• Relevant Azure or Databricks certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading enterprise-scale Azure data architecture initiatives.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into modern Azure data platforms.
• Experience establishing enterprise data governance and lineage frameworks.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
