Full Job Description
The Role

Principal Architects are thought leaders who perform consultative discovery of the client's business goals, objectives and challenges and then translate them into effective enterprise architectures. They perform Assessments, Strategy and Roadmap workshops and discuss opportunities for customers to leverage technologies to achieve business outcomes. Business Solution Architects consult with our customers on their IT and Business requirements to understand the current technology landscape in order to define a desired end state enterprise architecture and roadmap to achieve that end state.

Presidio is hiring a Business Solution Architect to work with top-tier customers and promote AI Services, Cloud Adoption, and Migration. As a Business Solution Architect, you will partner with customers, Presidio Sales and several other Presidio teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AI and Cloud services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology solution delivery. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology, business and relationship building. The Business Solution Architect is a role requiring a unique mix of working experience in technology, business acumen and strategy, and excellent soft skills. On the business side, the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical. Building rapport and credibility with customers is key to winning their trust and business. The Business Solution Architect will spend a large portion of their time interacting with several customer stakeholders, including developers, team leads, engineering directors, and CxOs. In this role we expect our Business Solution Architect to be customer obsessed with the ability to establish themselves as a Trusted Advisor to our customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Cloud and Cloud Native Strategies.
  • As a key member of the sales cycle, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on Cloud platforms.
  • Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Cloud, and participate in deep discussions, including business needs and architecture options to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Ability to communicate to audiences with little or technical knowledge, while aligning recommendations to business goals and financial targets.
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already operating in Cloud.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solutions architect community.
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals and key stakeholders within customer organizations to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
  • Champion AI adoption across client engagements by identifying opportunities where artificial intelligence - including agentic workflows - can drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate and articulate the cost-benefit tradeoffs of AI approaches (build vs. buy, managed services vs. custom models, agentic vs. traditional automation) so clients can make informed, outcome-aligned investment decisions.
  • Guide clients through the design and delivery of agentic AI solutions leveraging AWS services (Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, Amazon Q) and other leading AI platforms, aligning architecture choices to each client's business objectives.

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

  • 10+ years of systems engineering, cloud engineering, or software development experience.
  • AWS Services and Solutions; other cloud providers are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in sales or presales and working with large and complex customer environments.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through publications and public speaking.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to right-level conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • Experience working directly with customers, presenting and communicating options that include financial and technical impacts, receiving feedback and charting next steps.
  • Experience crafting and communicating solutions that meet customer business needs while contributing to revenue goals.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles, customer-journey mapping, and prototyping/wireframes, with the ability to factor end-user experience into architecture and solution recommendations.
  • Artificial Intelligence & Agentic Solutions - The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience applying AI tools and platforms to solve real business problems - not just familiarity with the concepts. This includes practical use of leading AI assistants and developer tools as well as the ability to architect and deliver agentic solutions that automate multi-step workflows and deliver measurable business value.
  • Hands-on experience with leading AI platforms and productivity tools, including Anthropic Claude (Claude Desktop / claude.ai), OpenAI (ChatGPT / API), Google Gemini, and AWS-native AI services such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q.
  • Experience designing and delivering agentic AI solutions - autonomous, multi-step AI workflows that take action on behalf of users - using frameworks such as Amazon Bedrock Agents, LangGraph, CrewAI, or comparable tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and articulate the cost-versus-benefit profile of competing AI approaches (e.g., prompt engineering vs. fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation vs. in-context knowledge, managed inference vs. self-hosted models) and recommend the option best aligned to the client's business outcome and budget.
  • Ability to translate AI capabilities into concrete business use cases - automating repetitive knowledge-work, accelerating decision support, reducing operational friction - and build the business case for client leadership.
  • Comfort driving AI adoption conversations at the executive level: framing ROI, managing risk and governance considerations, and developing phased adoption roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI principles, data privacy considerations, and enterprise governance requirements relevant to deploying AI in regulated or sensitive environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and / or military experience
  • Must be a US Citizen

We are looking for a candidate that is the right fit to make this a rewarding and successful experience. Below are some of the attributes we've seen as meaningful to succeed in this role:

You are a leader with vision - You are a hands-on architect and have delivered projects with varying complexities and environments. You are known for your attention to detail without losing the big picture. You are respected by your peers, customers, and industry.

You are a design evangelist - You champion the end-user experience in every solution, advocating for usability and thoughtful customer journeys even in deeply technical conversations. You help customers and teams see that great design isn't a nice-to-have-it's what drives real adoption and lasting value.

You are an AI-forward practitioner - You actively use AI tools in your own day-to-day work and stay current with the rapidly evolving landscape of generative AI and agentic systems. You bring this enthusiasm and practical expertise to every client conversation, helping organizations move from AI curiosity to AI-driven business outcomes.
