JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within the CIB/Payments line of business, youprovide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
  • Applies enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis, roadmap development, and design decisioning, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data
  • Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Serves as the function27s go-to subject matter expert
  • Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
  • Champions the firm27s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Establishes reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC/toolchain practices, ensuring traceability/auditability, resiliency, and security controls

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 15+ years of hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
  • Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into scalable platforms while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements
  • Strategic mindset inacquiring paymentsfor payments business - Understanding of the acquiring payments business
  • Strong experience in Payments auth optimization and protection services: vault, tokens, encryption, risk and other value added services like recurring billing
  • Strong experience inAPIs - api standards, functional, governance
  • Experience within-store or eCommerce merchant payments
  • Ability to understandbusiness requirements, create design, create technical delivery roadmap and technical know how's

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Practical cloud native experience

  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Strong technical background with design and delivery experience with software patterns and principles
  • Experience as a functional architect (business / product)
  • Experience with domain model, understands business process flow, client experience and use cases
  • Understands business capability, features taxonomy
  • Strong communication and leadership presence
  • Cloud certification is a plus

  • Point of Sale experience is a plus
