Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal Scrum Master / Sr. Principal Scrum Master – 15999-1. This position will be located in Roy, Utah  and will support the Sentinel Program.

Job Responsibilities:

•             Lead the efforts of developing Agile engineering and management best practices, metrics, and audit practices for large engineering organization

•             Coach and train Scrum Masters and Scrum Team members in the areas of agile planning and execution

•             Coordinates/Leads PI Planning with Sentinel Program to include Scheduling, Collaborating with leadership on Agenda items, Facilitating planning sessions, and Planning Execution

•             Support a range of technical disciplines from software engineering to hardware to cyber to testing automation on a Scrum Team.

•             Facilitate daily Scrum meetings and regular ceremonies.

•             Collect and analyze related metrics for trends and indicators, facilitate iteration/increment planning, provide Agile coaching and mentoring at all levels within the organization.

•             Lead the iterative solution lifecycle from executable architecture to maintenance, including concept development, iterative design, production, delivery and deployment.

•             Have an understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications: This is a dual level position

Basic Qualifications for a P3

•     5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Yrs with Masters 1 Yr with PhD;  additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree

Basic Qualifications for a P4

•      8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree

Both levels must have the following:

•    Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government (DoD) Secret security clearance.

•    Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) for a software program, engineering program, or defense program.

•    Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience serving as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Agile Program Manager for 2 or more Agile teams.

•    Must have practical experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts (e.g., CPI, SPI, BCWS, BCWP, ACWP) to track cost and schedule performance.

•    Must have ability to develop, implement, and deliver training on Agile, program management, or EVM topics.

•    Must have experience in tailoring training materials and delivery for varying levels of audiences (e.g., executive leadership, program managers, engineers, new Agile teams).

•    Must have a minimum 2 years of experience using Jira, MS Office and building dashboards, reports, or metrics packages in Jira/Excel for program and leadership visibility.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or other Agile certifications.

•    Proven track record of leading and mentoring Agile teams in a variety of projects.

•    Solid experience in developing and delivering Agile training programs across different levels of the organization.

•    Experience leading organizational change initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

•    Strong Presentation and facilitation skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
