Principal Advanced Analytics
This role transforms complex data into actionable insights, scalable analytical solutions, and AI-powered capabilities that support executive decision-making, customer growth, retention, and revenue optimization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with business acumen and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies to accelerate value creation across the organization.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesTypical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Data Science & Advanced Analytics- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business drivers.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning to solve business challenges.
- Develop and evaluate models that support customer acquisition, retention, pricing, product performance, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain analytical datasets, semantic layers, and scalable data assets that support enterprise reporting and advanced analytics.
Visualization & Insights- Develop executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions.
- Create compelling visualizations and data stories that communicate actionable business insights.
- Translate complex analytical findings into recommendations for executives and business partners.
- Partner with stakeholders to define key business questions, success metrics, and analytical strategies.
Automation & AI Enablement- Drive automation of recurring reporting, analytics, and operational processes to improve efficiency and speed to insight.
- Develop and deploy Generative AI solutions, including AI agents, conversational analytics, Copilot-based solutions, and intelligent workflow automation.
- Leverage emerging AI technologies to improve decision-making, productivity, and analytical capabilities.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance the organization's analytics and AI maturity.
Leadership & Strategic Partnership- Lead complex, high-impact analytical initiatives with significant business impact.
- Build strong relationships with business and technology partners across Consumer organizations.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and analytical excellence.
- Influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights and thought leadership.
Education & ExperienceRequired- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years of experience in advanced analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience with SQL and large-scale data environments.
- Experience developing visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Palantir, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Experience presenting complex analyses and recommendations to business and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead analytical initiatives and influence business decisions.
PreferredAnalytics & Data Science
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, or experimentation.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms including Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Synapse, Teradata, or equivalent technologies.
Generative AI & Automation
- Experience developing and deploying Generative AI solutions in business environments.
- Experience building AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent orchestration, and AI workflow automation.
- Experience integrating structured and unstructured data sources to support AI-powered solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to improve productivity, analytics delivery, and business outcomes.
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
Our Principal Advanced Analytics jobs earn between $158,200.00 - $237,400.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
