Full Job Description
Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished Full-time Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) to join our team at our Copiague site. The Primary Care Physician is responsible for managing a diverse patient panel with multiple co-morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advance practice providers, on-site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $237,182.40 - $269,755.20 per year Sign On Bonus: *** $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible External Applicants - Terms and Conditions Apply Essential duties and responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician: - Participate in in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope. - Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients. - Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians. - Complete and participate in chart review process. - Referral and follow-up of patients when needed. - Collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction. - Clinical Supervision: Overseeing the clinical work of students or new providers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organizational standards. - Mentorship and Guidance: Providing mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop their clinical skills and professional behavior. - Educational Support: Facilitating educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of the mentees. - Performance Evaluation: Assessing the performance of students or new providers, providing constructive feedback and documenting their progress. - Patient Care: Ensuring high-quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers. - Collaboration: Working closely with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals to coordinate the educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Requirements: - Doctorate Degree (MD, DO) - Active/Valid license as a MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification - Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred) - Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred) - Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting. Schedule: Monday through Friday - 40 hours per week with one evening shift per week (2 hour later start and end) and one Saturday per month. 8 clinical hours per day with a one hour lunch break On call twice a year - one week every 6 months.
