Inside the Role

This role supports the Transaction Council (TC) team (Pricing Strategy and Planning Analyst IV) in executing pricing proposals for DTNA’s largest and most complex customer transactions. The role also works directly with Sales and Finance executives to develop pricing and contribution margin strategies for customer transactions. These aligned proposals are presented weekly to the Transaction Council, comprised of the CEO, CFO, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and the President of Daimler Trucks Remarketing (DTR).

As an integral part of this process, the role provides direct visibility to the company’s highest executive leaders and exposure to top level business decision making.

Beyond transactional pricing execution, this role owns key downstream pricing operations, including serial management, concession execution, and pricing protection governance, ensuring pricing strategy is accurately carried out through order placement, invoicing, and delivery.

What You Drive at DTNA

Transaction Administration

  • Communicate with Transaction Council Senior Analysts to ensure errorfree, policycompliant execution of customer transaction pricing approvals.

  • Identify, clarify, and resolve ambiguous approval guidance, collaborating with leadership when policy interpretation or escalation is required.

  • Support Senior Analysts with price walks, spec additions, and pricing logic for large, highcomplexity fleet accounts.

  • Attend weekly Transaction Council meetings, document approval decisions, and clearly communicate outcomes to Sales and downstream execution teams.

  • Provide invoicing and controlling support for all accounts under Transaction Council / Sales Proposal Workflow (SPW) responsibility, as requested, to ensure accuracy and alignment with management approvals (e.g., order alerts, truck invoice adjustments, reserve analysis, audit issue resolution).

  • Own serial management activities for TCapproved deals, including serial moves, reallocations, and corrections, ensuring alignment with approved pricing, concessions, and requested delivery dates.

  • Execute serial moves within established servicelevel expectations, validating systemgenerated pricing accuracy, concession placement, and system integrity.

  • Own execution and maintenance of customer concessions, including stock truck concessions, rollover concessions, and dealspecific incentives, ensuring consistency with TC or SPW approvals.

  • Maintain high concession accuracy and timeliness, auditing for alignment with currentyear strategy and approved transaction terms.

  • Own governance of pricing protection codes (52PCodes53), managing new and existing requests through a centralized SharePoint workflow, ensuring system accuracy, audit readiness, and alignment across pricing, configuration, and order execution.

Account / Transaction Ownership

  • Manage daily incoming newtruck price quote requests from the dealer network for assigned top fleet customers, determining priority, required approval levels, and workload sequencing.

  • Partner with Field Sales and National Account Executives to develop strategic pricing proposals based on quote requests.

  • Coordinate with Controlling, Daimler Truck Remarketing (DTR), Fleet Services Group (FSG), Retail Pricing, and Daimler Truck Financial Services to gather required proposal inputs and ensure crossfunctional alignment.

  • Accurately document pricing proposals presented to senior Sales executives for Transaction Council approval or routed through the Sales Proposal Workflow (SPW).

  • Align pricing proposals with the Director of New Truck Pricing and Sales leadership prior to TC presentation or SPW routing.

  • Attend Transaction Council meetings, record approval decisions, and communicate outcomes to Field Sales.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university with 4+ years of experience in pricing, costing, proposal development, project management, financial or business analysis OR Masters degree with 2+ years of experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively, solve problems, manage complexity and ambiguity, and independently meet proposal deadlines

  • Advanced analytical, criticalthinking, organizational, and attentiontodetail skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities

  • An attached resume is required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • 1 3 years of related industry experience, including pricing, costing, proposal development, project management, financial or business analysis, or customer/dealer support.

  • Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, efficiency, or business outcomes
