Job Description

The Senior Pricing Analyst at BAE Systems Space and Mission Systems (SMS) involves building the costing & pricing for proposals to our customer for products that consistently involve cutting edge technologies. If you enjoy financial analysis, working with Microsoft Excel, and enjoy opportunities to leverage creativity in finance, this is the position for you!

What You'll Do:
  • Be the dedicated financial resource for proposal teams.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of costing & pricing in support of customer proposals.
  • Review customer RFP's.
  • Structure/organize pricing structure to align with the customer request
  • Pull historical actuals for use in building BOE's (basis of estimate).
  • Review all matter of financial data that would help to build a quality proposal package.
  • Draft and present PowerPoint slides in support of the financials for proposal opportunities.
  • Prepare financial data packages for RFP/TINA compliance (as needed).
  • Other finance-related tasks related to new business acquisition.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 4 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Proven capability of reviewing RFP and drafting pricing structure that aligns with customer request.
  • Experience developing cost estimates using historical actuals and feedback/input from functional estimators.
  • Experience generating basis of estimates (BOE's).

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience working in defense and/or aerospace in a finance role.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with government regulations that influence pricing decisions.
  • Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare presentation materials.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders.
  • Willing to learn & grow in-role, displays curiosity.
