BGCWC is continuing to strengthen its organizational structure, systems, programs, and culture to meet the changing needs of young people and families. The CEO will help bring these pieces together with a clear focus on our mission:
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.The ideal candidate will be both
strategic and hands-on-someone who can see the big picture while understanding that successful leadership often happens in the details.
The CEO will provide overall leadership for BGCWC's programs, people, operations, finances, fundraising, partnerships, and community presence. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and advance a compelling organizational vision and strategic direction in partnership with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team.
- Mission & Program Impact: Ensure that programs and services remain centered on the needs of young people, particularly those who need us most, and are informed by strong youth development practices and measurable outcomes.
- People & Culture: Build a healthy, accountable, inclusive, and high-performing organizational culture. Develop and empower leaders while creating an environment where staff can do their best work.
- Organizational Development: Strengthen the systems, structures, policies, and processes necessary to support sustainable growth and effective operations.
- Financial Leadership: Maintain strong financial stewardship and sustainability while working closely with the Board, Finance Committee, and leadership team to align resources with organizational priorities.
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Serve as a compelling ambassador for BGCWC, building relationships with donors, foundations, businesses, government partners, and community leaders.
- Community Leadership: Represent BGCWC as a visible and trusted leader throughout Whatcom County and build partnerships that expand opportunities for young people and families.
- Board Partnership: Maintain a strong, transparent, and collaborative relationship with the Board of Directors, providing the information and leadership necessary for effective governance.
- Advocacy & Visibility: Elevate awareness of the role Boys & Girls Clubs play in the health, development, and future of our community.
They will be comfortable leading through change, building trust, developing people, strengthening systems, cultivating community partnerships, and telling the story of why young people need Boys & Girls Clubs now more than ever. We are looking for a leader who brings a combination of
vision, emotional intelligence, business acumen, and a genuine belief in the potential of young people.BENEFITS:
