Please review the following job description:

  • Leads and delivers portfolio of change/strategic initiatives on behalf of Premier and Branch line of business to deliver Truist and Consumer & Small Business Banking's strategic ambition.
  • Conceptualizes ideas and associated benefits, translates ideas into initiatives with specifications and functional requirements.
  • Ensures portfolio activities and milestones are achieved within time and budget targets and within adherence to risk management appetite and governance.
  • Partners with CSBB's Portfolio Management and Change Governance and other change management organizations on behalf of Premier and Branch Banking, adhering to documented processes, governance routines, and change management lifecycle.
  • Successfully navigates a matrix organization with cross-functional partnerships, including direct and indirect leadership.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • May lead a team of portfolio or program managers.


What you bring to Truist:
  • Proven background in program and/or project management of significant scale, including business case development, financial analysis, and risk management.
  • Ability to effectively influence and build consensus across teams.
  • Demonstrate a high level of core leadership competencies, including experience working with cross-functional teams with a resource mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams and third parties.
  • Subject Matter Expert with Technical Consulting Skills: Hypothesis-driven problem solving, market research, data analysis, story-telling and written communications, MS PowerPoint / Excel, and executive presentation skills.


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong academic credentials - college degree (MBA preferred)
  • Eight years of experience, or equivalent experience and related training
  • Five years of experience working in consulting, project management, and/or corporate strategy
  • Deep understanding of dynamics within the financial services industry, value creation opportunities, and the use of technology to drive competitive advantage
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to distil insights from large datasets, strong analytical approach, structured thinker
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments
  • Demonstrated executive level verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Background in consumer financial services / banking
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suit (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in relevant field of work (e.g., MBA), PMP and/or PgMP
  • Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization
  • In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory and practical application to complex initiatives
  • Knowledge of business unit's mission and process
