Full Job Description
ProWest is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Preconstruction Services Manager to help lead the planning and development of projects before construction begins. This role is critical in ensuring projects are set up for success by focusing on coordination, constructability, procurement strategy, and early risk identification.

This is not a pure estimating role; instead, you'll work across teams to develop practical, well-coordinated solutions that support project budgets, schedules, and overall constructability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support preconstruction efforts on pursuits, awarded projects, and potential projects in development
  • Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to identify scope, logistics, and constructability considerations
  • Collaborate with estimators, project teams, and trade partners to support budgets and bid deliverables
  • Help develop bidder lists, outreach strategies, and subcontractor participation plans
  • Coordinate bid communications and support subcontractor proposal development
  • Participate in scope review meetings to clarify inclusions, exclusions, and gaps
  • Assist in reviewing subcontractor proposals for completeness and alignment
  • Support constructability reviews and coordinate input across stakeholders
  • Identify risks, procurement challenges, long-lead items, and schedule impacts
  • Assist with logistics planning, project phasing, and site coordination
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts and propose practical alternatives
  • Prepare preconstruction deliverables, including budgets, estimates, schedules, and reports
  • Track action items, design decisions, and deadlines
  • Participate in meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and internal teams
  • Support project transitions from preconstruction to construction
  • Visit project sites as needed to assess conditions and constraints

Qualifications:
  • 5-10+ years of experience in preconstruction, project management, construction, or related field
  • DBIA and LEED credentials preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, trade scopes, scheduling, and procurement
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of estimating and budgeting processes
  • Experience reviewing subcontractor proposals and identifying scope gaps
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction management tools
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Field experience
  • Experience with K-12, higher education, healthcare, or public works projects
  • Familiarity with California agency work and local subcontractor markets
  • Experience with conceptual budgeting, scheduling, or value engineering

Why Join Us:
  • Opportunity to lead complex, high-impact projects
  • Collaborative team environment with direct access to leadership
  • Clear path for growth and advancement
  • Competitive compensation and benefits

What We Offer:
  • 401K with matching
  • Healthcare
