Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, and/or 5-10 years of related estimating and management experience.
• Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Demonstrated experience managing preconstruction across diverse projects.
• Knowledge of subcontractor relationships and self-performance work.
• Proven ability to lead teams and develop employees while managing external stakeholder relationships.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Act as the 'Bid Captain' in negotiating bids and lead team meetings for the estimate process.
• Foster relationships with owners and subcontractors, representing McCarthy at jobsites and industry events.
• Manage and track project budgets effectively.
• Prepare project qualifications and ensure adherence to contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and implement preconstruction and construction schedules.
• Support training and development for project staff, while ensuring risk management practices are followed.
• Organize and manage all project documentation, presenting deliverables to the owner clearly and efficiently.
• Contribute to design meetings by providing alternative solutions and assisting in making design decisions.
