Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, or 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices required.
• Proven experience managing preconstruction for a diverse range of projects.
• Knowledge of subcontracts, subcontractors, and/or self-perform work.
• Experience in team leadership and developing employees.
• Self-starter with strong motivation.
• Excellent communication skills for building trust with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead interviews and preparation for negotiated bids, acting as 'Bid Captain' on projects.
• Develop and nurture relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal clients.
• Monitor and control the project budget effectively.
• Ensure project qualifications meet contractual obligations and submit for legal review.
• Implement and manage preconstruction and construction schedules.
• Train and mentor project staff while ensuring compliance with safety and EEO programs.
• Organize and present documentation and deliverables to project owners succinctly.
• Represent McCarthy in design and coordination meetings, providing alternative solutions and assisting in decision-making.
