Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a PreConstruction Manager in Orange County to lead project planning and ensure successful commercial HVAC construction delivery.

Impact
• Drive accurate project estimates that secure profitable contracts worth $2M+ annually
• Reduce construction delays by 25% through detailed pre-planning and coordination
• Ensure projects meet budget targets and timeline commitments from day one
• Build strong client relationships that generate repeat business opportunities

Responsibilities
• Manage pre-construction activities for commercial HVAC projects from bid to handoff
• Coordinate with estimating teams to develop accurate cost projections and schedules
• Lead design review meetings with architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with local building codes
• Develop comprehensive project execution plans and resource allocation strategies
• Conduct site evaluations and identify potential construction challenges early
• Present project proposals to clients and negotiate contract terms effectively
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth project transitions

Requirements

Must-Haves
• 7+ years of commercial construction or HVAC project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Proven track record managing projects valued at $1M+ from conception to completion
• Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction methods
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice-to-Haves
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with design-build and design-assist project delivery methods
• Background in mechanical contracting or commercial HVAC systems
