LOCATION: UK or Denmark (Field-Based)TRAVEL: Up to 60%TERRITORY: UK, Ireland & Parts of the EUAbout the RoleThe Jackson Laboratory (JAX) is looking for a Preclinical Sales Specialist to help drive the growth of our preclinical services and support the sale of complex scientific products and solutions across the UK, Ireland, and parts of the EU. You'll work closely with regional channel partners and fellow JAX Specialists to identify market opportunities, build relationships with new and existing customers, and support deal development, as well as taking the lead on smaller projects and collaborating on larger, more complex initiatives. This is a field-based, relationship-driven role for someone who is scientifically curious, commercially minded, and energized by variety in their week.
What You'll Do- Work collaboratively with Sales Leadership, Channel Partners, and Business Unit Managers to support the execution of revenue generation strategies for assigned market segments and products.
- Assist in meeting financial goals for JAX services by contributing to team efforts and supporting internal coordination.
- Support sales conversion efforts by helping to implement strategies that increase market share for JAX's products and services at commercial and academic accounts.
- Contribute to the development of sales solutions and presentations for Business Unit Managers, primarily in support of larger studies.
- Identify and engage potential new customers, focusing on building initial relationships and understanding their needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce.com, including customer details and business opportunity pipelines.
- Provide technical and scientific support in the field, including assisting with product presentations and gathering customer feedback.
- Accompany regional Channel Partners on customer visits to support tactical sales efforts and gain exposure to product and service training.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity and share relevant insights with the team to help inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement in a dynamic work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD a plus, with 5-7 years of related sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to support the development and execution of business strategies and assist in building new customer relationships.
- Advanced technical and scientific understanding relevant to the sale and support of JMCRS products and services.
- Laboratory experience and technical background, with a preference for mouse genetics.
- Research experience in cancer, immunology, autoimmunity/inflammation, neurobiology, or metabolic disease is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with a diverse range of individuals across various roles and backgrounds.
- Curiosity, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging with internal teams and external contacts.
- Ability to contribute to decision-making processes with guidance, especially in time-sensitive situations.

- A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
