About the Role

The Practice Support Project Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Practice Support Services team and will be responsible for executing casework as required and coordinating with colleagues within the Practice Support Center to support various client-matter projects, while providing guidance to case teams regarding the best practices for handling clients’ electronically stored information (ESI) and how best to use technology to support their matters, including data collection, data processing, and document production. This role will be located in either our Global Services Office in Downtown Loas Angeles, Washington D.C., or New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. The schedule for this role will be either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday during the hours of 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting attorneys and paralegals with search queries, email threading, document review database analytics, creation of custom tags, review batches, batch-printing, reports, exhibit/case management, productions, depositions, and trial presentations
  • Monitoring and managing the team's email inbox, ensuring that all incoming communications are reviewed promptly and providing timely and professional responses to internal and external stakeholders
  • Crafting clear, concise, and professional emails that effectively convey complex information, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment with project objectives
  • Collaborating with the team to define project timelines and project milestones within the litigation lifecycle
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation such as chain of custody and project trackers
  • Supporting the development of best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Display a strong understanding of e-discovery and the e-discovery reference model (EDRM)
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, with an emphasis on directly supporting teams of attorneys and support staff
  • Possess the ability to quickly learn new skills

And have:

  • An associate’s degree; a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in a legal environment or at a vendor specializing in providing legal technology processing services
