Position PurposeThis position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational leadership of assigned practice(s), ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery. This role focuses on execution of operational standards, clinic performance, and frontline team leadership, partnering with providers and clinical leaders to deliver on daily performance expectations.
The Practice Site Leader applies High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through real-time problem solving, escalation, and adherence to standard work.
Nature and ScopeThe Practice Site Leader operates as the primary on-site operational leader, accountable for daily conic operations, staff performance, and patient flow for each site assigned.
This role focuses on tactical execution and immediate problem resolution, ensuring that workflows, staffing, and operational processes support safe, efficient care delivery.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
Operational Performance & Volume Management- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring effective patient flow, staffing coverage, and provider support
- Monitor and optimize schedule utilization, fill rates, and throughput in real time
- Identify and resolve day-to-day operational barriers impacting access, efficiency, or patient experience
- Ensure timely chart closure, charge capture, and revenue cycle accuracy
Performance Management & Daily Management System- Utilize Daily Management System (DMS) to monitor key metrics and escalate issues through structured tiered huddles
- Track and respond to daily performance indicators, implementing immediate corrective actions
- Maintain visibility to performance gaps and ensure timely resolution at the site level
Quality, Safety, HRO Focus- Embed HRO principles (preoccupation with failure, escalation, standardization) into daily operations
- Be a champion for a positive patient experience by monitoring workflows, addressing service concerns timely, and reinforcing patient-centered behaviors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards and prompt escalation of patient safety concerns
- Reinforce standard work and reliable processes to reduce variation and improve outcomes
- Responsible for achieving employee engagement goals for each site assigned
Patient Experience- Actively manage workflows and service delivery to ensure positive patient experiences
- Address patient concerns in real time and drive service recovery
- Implement improvement actions based on feedback and observations
Financial Stewardship (Site-Level)- Monitor site-level expenses, staffing utilization, and productivity drivers
- Manage overtime, supplies, and scheduling to support financial targets
- Contribute to achieving budget outcomes through day-to-day operational control, not full budget ownership
Leadership & Team Development- Directly managing frontline staff and support provider relationships with the clinic
- Conduct performance management, onboarding, and staff development
- Ensure competency tracking
- Ensure staff and providers have all required licenses and certifications
- Identify development opportunities and implement career pathways for staff growth and cross-training
- Foster engagement, accountability, and strong team culture
Communication & Collaboration- Serve as the primary operational contact for providers and staff at the site
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to align operations with care delivery needs
- Escalate systematic issues to Area Practice Manager, as appropriate

NameDescriptionEducation:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively. Requires basic mathematical skills. Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing or a related field strongly preferred.
Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible health care experience; and/or one year of clinic management or business management experience.
