Practice Manager - Outpatient Rehab and Occupational Health Locations

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing top quality and safe healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities since 1917. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the American Heart Association for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure and Stroke, and most recently, coronary artery disease.

Additionally, Aiken Regional provides comprehensive healthcare services such as behavioral health (Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health), emergency medical care (main hospital and ER at Sweetwater), orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services(Hitchcock Rehabilitation Services), imaging, and wound care.

This position is responsible for the overall operations of the assigned outpatient rehab practice and responsible day to day operations, assessment, planning and evaluating of Business & Industry location. Ensuring services are delivered in an effective, efficient, and customer-oriented manner and in accordance with all federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies' regulations, requirements, and standards. Responsible for increasing utilization of B&I Services through marketing and implementing customer validated strategies.

Duties:
  • Manages staffing in a financially responsible manner and in accordance with budgetary requirements.
  • Actively directs the strategic, volume growth, and marketing efforts of the practice.
  • Works collaboratively with the clinical providers to develop and maintain a culture of professionalism, mutual trust, and respect.
  • Coordinates all facets of interviewing, hiring, evaluating, terminating, and conducting timely performance appraisals of staff. Collaborating with other supervisors as needed.
  • Works with staff to establish performance standards and monitors staff progress in relation to goals and objectives.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with the billing staff on all facets of the revenue cycle to maximize overall financial performance, billing, coding, and collections at each of the clinics.
  • Works with Clinical Lead or meets directly with providers on a regular basis to review clinic volumes, financial performance, and patient satisfaction; identify and address strategic and operational issues; and discuss ways to improve practice performance.
  • Ensure that the clinics are providing a high level of customer service that is supportive of organization's Service Excellence Standards as well as provides a high quality of patient care.
  • Works with clinical leader or meets directly with providers on a regular basis to review clinic volumes, financial performance, and patient satisfaction, identify and address strategies
  • Demonstrates appropriate sales and marketing efforts to ensure continued business growth and achievement of financial goals
  • Manage day-to-day operations and financial aspects of position by providing and recommending resources necessary to maintain quality direction of service lines
  • Interprets and utilizes clinical, professional, and financial data to make sound decisions.
  • Ensure that the clinics are providing a high level of customer service that is supportive of organization's Service Excellence Standards as well as provides a high quality of patient care.
