Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Practice Manager to join our Axis Spine Team!Under the direction of the Director of Clinics, the Practice Manager is responsible for oversight and direction of the functions associated with the assigned clinics. The Practice Manager will ensure that the registration, billing, collection, and medical records departments are in compliance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, goals, and budget of the hospital as well as the corporation. The Practice Manager will ensure that fiscal functions of the department(s) are conducted in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and specific practices as established from time to time by the hospital and the corporation. The Practice Manager will also ensure that billing and coding practices of the clinics are in accordance with all State, Federal and local laws. The Practice Manager will ensure that the integrity of information pertaining to the facility's patients, staff and physicians is protected. The Practice Manager will also ensure that records pertaining to both the medical and billing records for all patients are maintained in an accurate and confidential manner. The Practice Manager will need to project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of the Hospital, patients, and employees as appropriate. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills along with attention to detail. Must be highly organized and able to focus on task at hand.
- Possesses critical thinking and analytic skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work autonomously.
- Understands medical terminology and quality improvement processes.
- Experience in budgeting and personnel management, and evidence of continuing education which is directly related to the job specification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Healthcare management preferred
