Full Job Description
The Practice Management Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team to provide a full range of sales support activities in coordination with the Wealth Regional Directors and Sr./Wealth Group Executives. The overall objective of this role is to drive the advisor productivity, team development, and business growth. This individual will develop and deliver programs for financial advisors to build more efficient, client-centric, and growth-oriented practices with the firm's ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of practice management leads to accomplish established goals working directly with advisors and relationship managers across regions.
  • Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to develop performance metrics that measure success against business strategy and corporate goals and lead efforts to set quarterly and annual targets for each metric.
  • Assess advisor performance, identify gaps, prioritize coaching engagements, refine programs and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Deliver practice management frameworks tailored to advisor career cycle stages - from early-career growth and team structure to succession planning and client segmentation.
  • Design and implement sales processes/tools from client acquisition through onboarding and ongoing relationship building to enhance productivity, deepen client relationships, and strengthen client acquisition pipelines.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across Investment Solutions, Financial Planning, Portfolio Consultants, and Training to align practice management initiative with business priorities.
  • Provide coaching to advisors on topics including optimizing client service models, book segmentation, delegating and building team structures, improving time management, and adapting digital and planning tools.
  • Partner with performance management teams to ensure business performance aligns with overall goals.
  • Track performance metrics, develop timely business review presentations, and provide stakeholders with analysis of performance, trends, and drivers for performance.
  • Maintain a tight feedback loop with field leadership on advisor development trends, capacity challenges, and innovation opportunities.
  • Design end-to-end business and professional development for sales professionals as well as identify performance issues and engage stakeholders to ensure action plans are created to remediate problems
  • Communicate/provide additional materials to ensure field can implement and/or execute against key priorities and initiative across lines of business and maintain knowledge of competitor product offerings and advance Citi's product as leader
  • Ensure the focus of risk management, documentation, and compliance as well as the on-going and transfer of expertise across the team
  • Complete quarterly analysis of business YTD performance and present business heads with analysis and insights on performance trends
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • ®, CIMA®, CPWA®, CRPC®) preferred.
  • Required current US FINRA Registration: SIE, SIE; Series 7; Series 63 + Series 65 (or Series 66); Series 9 + Series 10 (or Series 24, Series 4, and Series 53)
    • Must meet ALL US FINRA Registration requirements within 150 days of starting in the role.
  • Experience in wealth management, financial advisory leadership, or coaching/business consulting within a wirehouse or large advisory platform preferred
  • Experience in project management to manage, execute, and communicate business performance
  • Extensive knowledge of banking and financial services industry
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and service process
  • Strong understanding of advisor business models, compensation structures, and client segmentation strategies typical of full-service wealth management firms.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presence - able to build credibility with field management and top producers alike.
  • Proven ability to interpret data and advisor metrics to drive strategy and measure success.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Collaborative, empathetic leader who can balance firm objectives with individual advisor needs.
  • Ability to creatively design end-to-end sales processes and assistance
