About the role

The PR and Content Manager will lead strategic communications and content initiatives to strengthen brand visibility and reputation, primarily across the U.S. market. This role will develop press and media relations, and support campaigns across key channels. The ideal candidate will bring strong PR expertise, experience in regulated industries, and the ability to translate complex topics into engaging stories for life science audiences.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a strategic and creative communications professional with strong PR, editorial, and media (podcast, blog) relations experience, ideally within the U.S. market and life sciences or other regulated industries. The ideal candidate can craft compelling narratives, manage complex communications and would also support the production of other high-impact content assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Create high-quality press releases and other content collateral.
  • Develop compelling story angles and pitch them to relevant media outlets and blogs.
  • Supports the development, editing, and production of content, including articles, newsletters, blogs, and other ad hoc communication and content materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and leadership teams to promote campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Review, proofread, and approve written materials before publication.
  • Monitor media coverage, track PR performance metrics, and prepare reports on campaign effectiveness.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, editorial management, corporate communications, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing PR activities and media relations within the U.S. market, with a strong understanding of U.S. media landscapes, audience expectations, and communication trends.
  • Must have a lifescience background or have worked in highly regulated environments (e.g. policy, finance)
  • Excellent written, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing PR campaigns and managing media outreach.
  • Ability to write compelling content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive or confidential information.
