WORK LOCATION: This position allows for a hybrid / flexible work schedule with a mix of work spent on site at the Sargent & Lundy office and working remote from home.

We areseekinga highly skilled and experienced Electrical Analytical Engineering Consultant specializing in Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) analysis of power systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing complex calculations related to Transient Over-Voltage (TOV), Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV), Switching Studies, and Insulation Coordination. Additionally, the candidate shouldpossessextensive softwareproficiencyin PSCAD or EMTP-RV.

  • Conduct detailed electrical analysisutilizingtime domain techniques to evaluate system performance andidentifypotential issues.
  • Perform complex calculations related to Transient Over-Voltage (TOV), Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV), Switching Studies, and Insulation Coordination.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions tooptimizesystem performance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technicalexpertiseand support in electrical analysis and troubleshooting.

Essential skills and experience:

  • ABachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering(background in Power/Power Systems) and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree.Master'sor PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in time domain analysis of power systems.
  • Proficiencyinutilizingsoftware tools such as PSCAD or EMTP-RV to perform complex electrical calculations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability toidentifyand resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Compensation Range$142,710.00 - $215,440.00 Transparency StatementSargent & Lundy discloses compensation ranges that comply with all local and state regulations. The total compensation package for eligible positions will include a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package, reflecting our commitment to rewarding performance and supporting the overall well-being of our employees.
