Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed bulk power system studies using PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT

  • Generate and manage data for engineering studies
  • Prepare technical reports for studies completed
  • Ensure timely project completion while meeting quality and budget standards
  • Identify and communicate training needs to the Engineering Manager

Overview

Conduct IBR Dynamic Modeling studies which are particularly related to existing and future ERCOT and other regional reliability standards. This position will have specific emphasis placed on IBR plant dynamic modeling.

Responsibilities

Howyou can make an impact:

  • Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
  • Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic.
  • Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment.
  • Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.
  • Preparetechnical study reports for all studies performed.
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
  • Identify training needs and present them to the Engineering Manageras needed.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
