WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Define and execute the vision of the Launch and Recovery Vehicle power system from concept to production. This includes power generation, regulation, distribution, power quality, control, etc.
- Design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art high-power systems tailored for optimal performance and reliability in harsh environments
- Guide teammates toward appropriate custom power electronic designs
- Enable an uninterruptible power system
- Make vs. buy trade studies. Select, test, and integrate modules for use in the aircraft
- Ensure system performance and reliability are met through rigorous verification
- Debug complex problems related to the electrical design, environmental, manufacturing, etc.
- Help build the team and lead multiple engineers dedicated to the power system design
- Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture
- Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership
- Work in a fast-paced environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Power system design experience on a large vehicle, aircraft, or an equivalent power system (rocket, satellite, submarine, etc.)
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Have delivered power system and power electronic products to market
- Proficient with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment
- Strong technical fundamentals and analysis
$216,000 - $325,000 a year
