Position Title: POWER MAINTENANCE/SERVICE MANAGER
Location: Field/Office
FLSA Class: Exempt
Responsible to: VP Power Operations
Position Summary: This position manages VoltaGrid's Power fleet from both a reliability perspective as well as service cost perspective. The individual is responsible for all technical aspects of the Power Fleet, including managing vendors and customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Create a culture driven by safety and quality.
- Manage all service activities, both in-house and external.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain good communication with upper management regarding technical problems and their resolution.
- Prepare and present equipment-related issues to key customer contacts.
- Develop short-term and long-term goals and strategies to raise the technical experience level.
- Develop, implement, and monitor goals and KPIs.
- Assist in the development and adherence to maintenance programs.
- Implement process and equipment improvements to increase reliability and ensure a top-level quality of service.
- Monitor major equipment repairs from both cost and utilization perspectives.
- Maintain working knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and laws, ensuring VoltaGrid's compliance with these requirements.
- Manage OEM relationships.
- Mentor and coach field technicians and be the main point of contact for equipment-related issues.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure company policies and procedures compliance.
- Complete and present root cause analysis of failed components.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational and Other Requirements: - 10+ years of experience managing fleets and overseeing industrial maintenance programs.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and can work independently.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to design, plan and execute programs and projects.
- Willingness to work in exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, and precipitation, in addition to working at heights.
- Ability to stoop, sit, stand, or be on their feet for an extended period of time.
- Able to lift 25 pounds up to 10 times per shift.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Valid Driver's License.
