Ali Al Salem Airbase, Kuwait
Summary This position will support the US Air Force 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, headquartered at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. The 386 th Wing serves as the primary airlift hub and gateway for delivering combat power to joint and coalition forces in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). Ali Al Salem and Cargo City are the busiest aerial ports in the AOR supporting ongoing operations with an average of 600 monthly missions, delivering many tons of cargo and large numbers of personnel. The 386 th Wing also supports more than 4,000 joint and 8,500 coalition forces. Many of the wing's Airmen are filling Joint Expeditionary Taskings and Individual Augmentees (JET/IA). These Airmen fill and support requirements for more than 60 different specialties and unique skillsets operating at locations throughout Southwest Asia. This is an Air Force Contract Augmentation Program number 5 (AFCAP V) Contract direct-hire position with a Prime Defense Contractor which will include full benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities - Manages Power Generation operations within assigned AOR.
- Manages a team of personnel that maintains all aspects of power generator operation including troubleshooting, repair, installation and maintenance.
- Executes assigned scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules and cost control estimates.
- Plans and coordinates supervision, personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules and adhere to budget constraints.
- Ensures proper utilization of electronic work order system, equipment service and maintenance data, and related documentation requirements.
- Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate.
- Performs duties of subordinate personnel as required.
- Establishes and maintains a safety culture on the project, ensuring that all personnel adhere to company safety requirements at all times.
- Ensures that subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures and that work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.
- May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS).
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications - US Department of War Secret Security Clearance is required.
- US Citizenship is required to achieve the Security Clearance required.
- Qualified Candidates must have a minimum of seven to ten years' experience.
- High School (Secondary School) Diploma or US General Education Diploma
- Or equivalent combination of formal secondary education and Power Generation experience.
