Senior Power Electronics Engineer - High Voltage Motor & Generator Systems

Hawthorne, California | On-site

Opportunity Summary

We are seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to help develop the electrical systems that enable next-generation power generation hardware. This role will focus on high-voltage power conversion, motor and generator integration, and electrical architecture development for complex electromechanical systems. This is an opportunity to join an early-stage engineering team where electrical design decisions will directly influence product performance, reliability, and scalability.

Job Duties
  • Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems for power generation applications
  • Lead motor, generator, inverter, and power conversion hardware development efforts
  • Perform system-level electrical analysis and architecture trades
  • Develop schematics, component selections, and electrical documentation
  • Collaborate with controls, mechanical, thermal, and test engineering teams
  • Support hardware integration, validation, and troubleshooting activities
  • Improve system efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Participate in prototype builds and testing campaigns


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing power electronics hardware
  • Experience with motor drives, generators, inverters, or high-power electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of power conversion and electrical system design
