Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Location: Long Beach, CA, onsite.
Responsibilities:- Develop traction inverters for electric vehicle applications.
- Design, bring-up, characterize and troubleshoot traction inverters.
- Design and validate circuit schematics and PCB layout.
- Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis.
- Perform failure analysis.
- Support design validation and end-of-line tests specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, supply chain functions throughout the organization.
Requirements:- 2+ years of experience in power electronics product developmentHands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturability
- Hands-on experience with high voltage power electronics testing and validation.
- Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modules
- BS, MS, in EE or equivalent.
Preference:- Experience with EMI troubleshooting
- Familiar with three phase inverters and motor control
- Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development
- Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products
