Power BI Developer to join a growing organization on a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a business-facing BI professional who can work directly with stakeholders, gather reporting requirements, design scalable reporting solutions, and deliver impactful dashboards through Power BI, SQL, and semantic modeling expertise. The ideal candidate will move beyond traditional report extraction and Excel-based reporting to build robust self-service analytics solutions within Power BI.
Responsibilities of the Power BI Developer include:- Partner directly with business stakeholders and end users to gather requirements, define KPIs, and design reporting solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support strategic business decisions.
- Design and manage semantic models and datasets that enable scalable, self-service reporting capabilities.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple data sources.
- Translate business needs into technical reporting solutions and independently drive projects from concept through delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility, reporting standards, and analytics capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning concepts to enhance reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
Qualifications for the Power BI Developer include:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, data science, or a related discipline.
- Expert-level experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, report design, DAX, and data visualization best practices.
- Strong experience with SQL and semantic modeling, including the design and maintenance of performant, scalable Power BI datasets and semantic layers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and translate complex business requirements into reporting solutions.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data architecture, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts and how they can support business intelligence initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve complex business reporting challenges.

Compensation for the Power BI Developer:$120,000 - $140,000 Base Salary
