Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI professional with 7+ years of BI development experience and a strong focus on financial dashboarding and executive reporting. The role will design, build, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards for Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR). The ideal candidate will collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations, and leadership teams to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable executive-level insights. This high-visibility role requires strong expertise in financial KPIs, data modeling, data storytelling, governance, and visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-impact, visually compelling Power BI dashboards tailored for executive-level consumption.
Translate complex financial and operational data into intuitive visuals and metrics aligned with MBR and QBR processes.
Build drill-down capabilities that allow executives to explore metric drivers by region, product line, or business unit.
Connect to diverse data sources, including SAP FI/CO, Snowflake, AWS S3, Excel, and SQL Server, to create reliable and refreshable data models.
Develop and optimize DAX queries and Power Query/M transformations for performance and scalability.
Ensure semantic models align with established business definitions for KPIs and metrics.
Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to gather requirements and align KPIs with strategic goals.
Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business pain points and translate them into user-focused dashboard features.
Present dashboard updates, insights, and enhancement plans to leadership teams.
Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with internal governance standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation covering dashboard logic, data sources, and business rules.
Implement CI/CD processes and version control for Power BI artifacts.
Support financial metrics including Net Revenue, Gross Profit, EBITDA, Operating Income, and Operating, Investing, and Financing Cash Flow.
Support operational metrics including production volumes, yield, utilization rates, and cost per unit.
Support cost metrics including SG&A, transportation and distribution costs, and inventory turnover.
Support strategic KPIs including actual-versus-forecast/budget variance analysis, working capital, and ROIC.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in BI development with a strong focus on Power BI.
3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or working with finance-related KPIs.
Expert-level experience with DAX, Power Query/M, and complex data modeling.
Proficiency in SQL and experience integrating cloud data sources such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure.
Experience creating dashboards for executive and C-level audiences.
Strong understanding of UX and data visualization principles.
Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate them into executive-level insights.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and effectively across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or distribution industries.
Familiarity with SAP data structures, particularly FI/CO, MM, and SD modules.
Experience with data warehousing and ETL design.
Knowledge of corporate finance concepts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
Experience implementing CI/CD and version control for Power BI artifacts.
Strong executive presence and experience presenting complex data in a concise and insightful manner.
