Role: Power BI Analyst (Sales Operations)

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • We are seeking a hands-on Business Intelligence Analystwith deep experience building Power BI semantic models and reports totransform complex data into clear, trusted insights.
  • This role is highly execution-oriented and requiresstrong analytical skills, comfort working directly with data, and theability to translate business questions into well-designed models,measures, and visualizations.
  • The ideal candidate will own Power BI solutionsend-to-end spanning data analysis, semantic modeling, DAX, and reportdevelopment while partnering closely with business stakeholders andIT/data teams within a governed analytics environment.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in businessintelligence, analytics, or reporting roles with a strong focus on PowerBI development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI including building andmaintaining Power BI semantic models, developing production-qualityreports and dashboards, and writing and optimizing DAX measures foranalytical use cases.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability toexplore, validate, and interpret data; identify trends, anomalies, androot causes; and translate business questions into analytical logic andmetrics.
  • Solid SQL experience including writing, modifying, andtroubleshooting queries used for reporting and modeling.
  • Experience designing clean, scalable data modelsincluding star schemas, relationships, and reusable metrics.
  • Familiarity with governed self-service analytics andCitizen IT models in Power BI (datasets, certified/promoted content,shared measures).
  • Strong understanding of business operations, KPIs, andperformance metrics with the ability to challenge assumptions using data.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, dataengineering, and business teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability toexplain analytical concepts and data findings to non-technicalstakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of BIassets, and drive solutions from concept through delivery.
  • Comfort leading in-person working sessions andcollaborating directly with business leaders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic modelsthat support consistent, reliable reporting and analysis across theorganization.
  • Perform hands-on data analysis to understand businessdrivers, validate data quality, and uncover actionable insights.
  • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards that clearlycommunicate trends, performance, and key business outcomes.
  • Translate business questions and requirements intoanalytical logic, DAX measures, SQL queries, and intuitive Power BIvisualizations.
  • Lead the consolidation and rationalization of existingreports into standardized, scalable Power BI solutions.
  • Ensure semantic consistency across models and reportsincluding metric definitions, calculation logic, filters, and namingconventions.
  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams tounderstand source data, address data gaps or quality issues, and align onmodeling and refresh strategies.
  • Support and guide business users in a self-serviceanalytics environment, enabling them to confidently consume and extendtrusted datasets.
  • Conduct in-person working sessions to gatherrequirements, review data findings, and iterate on reports withstakeholders.
  • Continuously improve Power BI assets by identifyingopportunities for optimization, simplification, and automation.
