In the assigned Job Role of Infrastructure Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document findings with preventive recommendations
• Participate in evaluation of client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document infrastructure maturity and improvement opportunities
• Contribute to the design of scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation for deployed systems
• Align release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments as per protocols, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control to track changes
• Co-ordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems and processes
• Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning to optimize performance
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans to maintain adherence to standards
• Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities, analyze existing infrastructure processes, and propose enhancements for efficiency gains
• Act as liaison with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements, ensuring effective collaboration
• Develop a centralized repository of technical and procedural knowledge, leveraging insights from other projects to drive efficiency and retain organizational expertise

Required Skill and Experience PostgreSQL Administration
• Install, configure, manage, secure, monitor, and tune PostgreSQL databases.
• Manage replication, high availability, backup/recovery, and performance optimization.
• Support database scalability, availability, and operational stability.
• Perform regular database maintenance activities including vacuuming, indexing, and query tuning.
SQL/Oracle to PostgreSQL Migration & Code Remediation
• Lead migrations from SQL Server and Oracle databases to PostgreSQL.
• Perform hands-on remediation and conversion of stored procedures, triggers, functions, and database schemas.
• Resolve naming convention differences including Snake Case, Pascal Case, and other standards.
• Partner with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve functional issues during migration activities.
AWS Database & Cloud Services
• Manage PostgreSQL deployments within AWS environments.
• Utilize AWS DMS for database migration activities.
• Configure and maintain AWS services including CloudWatch, S3, and IAM.
• Support cloud-native database operations and monitoring.
Database Performance & High Availability
• Optimize database performance and scalability across multiple PostgreSQL versions.
• Manage streaming replication, logical replication, and high availability configurations.
• Implement monitoring and proactive performance tuning strategies.
• Ensure database resilience through robust architecture and operational best practices.
Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery
• Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
• Leverage native PostgreSQL capabilities and AWS services for recovery operations.
• Support Multi-AZ deployments and failover configurations.
• Ensure disaster recovery readiness and business continuity requirements are met.
Security & Governance
• Implement and maintain PostgreSQL security policies, roles, and privileges.
• Enforce database governance, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Monitor database health using pgAdmin, AWS CloudWatch, and other monitoring solutions.
• Maintain documentation for database environments, configurations, standards, and procedures.
Collaboration & Operational Support
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application requirements.
• Provide database operational support and troubleshooting.
• Participate in platform improvement initiatives and migration planning.
• Ensure delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable database services.
Preferred Skill and Experience Preferred but not required
Certifications :
PostgreSQL Certified Professional (or equivalent)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional
Additional Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
