Full Job Description
Post Producer, you will work closely with our creative and business leads across the network, acting as an expert in the room on all things production. If you are a creative, meticulously detailed oriented and a multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, then we want you to apply!

what you will do.
  • Lead post-production based projects across multiple platforms (broadcast, digital & social), bringing expertise, experience and innovative thinking to some of the world's leading brands.
  • Be the production expert in the room from briefing through delivery by bringing innovative ideas and flair and partnering closely with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Advise on post-production approaches, including outlining budget parameters, unseen opportunities and post partners to execute on the creative.
  • Oversee resourcing and file transfers for our offline editors, assistants and external suppliers, ensuring smooth delivery of all post production work.
  • Support the team of agency producers and address various post-production related questions - resourcing, budgeting, timelines, etc.
  • Be creative minded, excited by the opportunity to produce groundbreaking work in new and inventive ways, especially in the post-production industry.
  • Be client facing and confidently work closely with client teams throughout the post-production process.
  • Be detail-oriented and meticulous with all logistical and financial aspects of production including project management, scoping, timelines, contract negotiations, cost tracking and reconciliations on budgets ranging from $100k-1M+ confidently.
  • Have an extensive network of contacts in the post-production field, both locally and globally, with experience working in different markets.
  • Mentor and foster growth within the production and post-production department.

what you'll bring to the table.
  • A background in a creative agency role, with non-traditional agency experience (post-production company, online or VFX finishing house) advantageous.
  • Knowledge of post-production software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools, EditShare, Frame.io, etc.)
  • Strong post-production knowledge, with experience working directly with editors, motion designers, animators, colourists, sound engineers and more.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects from small to large scale productions.
  • Deep understanding of post-production workflows: technical process (editing, colour grading, mixing, VFX, DCP) and delivery standards & specs.
  • Experience in negotiating vendor contracts including production and subcontractor agreements, music licensing, subscriptions, etc.
  • Superb organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and be a valued and respected member of the team.
  • Toronto-based with flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines (when absolutely necessary).
  • Hybrid role, in office a minimum of twice per week
  • Bilingualism is advantageous.
