OverviewTwo Post-Doctoral Research Fellow positions are immediately available in the Jiang Lab https://sites.google.com/view/yjianglab at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. The Jiang Lab develops programmable molecular systems with translational potential for cancer theranostics, with the goal of enabling more precise, responsive, and effective approaches to cancer detection and treatment (K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award, 2025-2030; Nat Biotechnol 2025; Nat Biomed Eng 2022, etc.). Working at the interface of chemistry, biology, engineering, and medicine, the Jiang Lab aims to create innovative molecular technologies that address unmet challenges in cancer therapy and diagnosis and ultimately make a meaningful difference for patients.
Responsibilities
We are recruiting highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellows in two broad research areas:
Synthetic Biology & Protein Engineering: translational synthetic biology, protein and antibody engineering, therapeutic protein design, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), genetic & cellular engineering, immunoengineering, and related areas.
Nanomedicine & Gene Delivery: nanoparticle engineering, targeted drug delivery, nucleic acid therapeutics, CRISPR technologies, radiotherapy, and related areas.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent PhD and/or MD
- A record of productive research
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative research efforts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A strong background in antibody engineering, immunotherapy, and murine research is highly desirable.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
