Qualifications

Full Job Description
The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care- Lung Transplant Program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the Hybrid (outpatient & inpatient) setting. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at Center for Advanced Care at Froedtert Hospital. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who contributes to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Schedule:
  • Full time, 1.0 fte
  • M-F, 8 am - 5 pm, with occasional, additional hours as needed

Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous PA, NP, or RN experience in an inpatient pulmonary or lung transplant setting strongly preferred


Minimum Education:
  • Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.


Minimum Requirements:
Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
  • Wisconsin RN License
  • Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
  • Certification Requirements:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • DEA
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP) highly preferred


Physician Assistant
  • Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
  • Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Certification Requirements:
