What You'll Do
  • Lead a diverse portfolio of environmental remediation and due diligence projects from proposal through execution and closeout
  • Manage projects across Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site investigations, and remediation programs in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining strong financial performance and client satisfaction
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and complex environmental impacts
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams, including internal staff and subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
  • Support and drive business development efforts, including proposal development, client relationship management, and expansion of service offerings
  • Contribute to brownfield redevelopment initiatives, including technical strategy and coordination with regulatory programs
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, supporting team growth and technical excellence
  • Collaborate across offices to support national programs and multi-site client portfolios


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
  • Master's degree in Environmental Studies or related discipline preferred
  • 15-20+ years of environmental consulting experience with progressive project management responsibility
  • Extensive experience managing environmental remediation and assessment projects (Phase I/II ESAs, site investigations, cleanup activities)
  • Demonstrated success managing project budgets, financial performance, and project delivery (including projects up to ~$2M)
  • Strong client relationship management and account leadership experience, including global client portfolios
  • Experience working with Ohio regulatory programs (e.g., VAP, BUSTR) and federal environmental programs
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractors and field operations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with clients, regulators, and internal leadership
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to maintain)


Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and licensure. Verdantas offers a competitive total rewards package, including bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits."
