Full Job Description
Job Description: We are seeking a hands-on Portfolio Manager to manage client relationships, portfolio monitoring, collateral reporting, covenant compliance, and underwriting support for lender finance transactions, with a focus on factoring, ABL, and commercial specialty finance lenders. This person will work closely with credit, legal, operations, and senior leadership to onboard new relationships, monitor existing facilities, identify emerging risks, and deliver a high level of service to borrowers and funding partners.

Overall products include participations, secured debt loans to lenders and more traditional lender finance, focused in ABL, inventory, factoring, purchase order, equipment finance, and lender finance. Some underwriting would be included as needed as well as onboarding and ongoing monitoring.

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of lender finance, factoring, ABL, and participation relationships.
  • Monitor credit quality, collateral performance, borrowing bases, covenant compliance, reporting packages, and financial trends.
  • Support underwriting, due diligence, structuring, approval memos, documentation, closing, onboarding, renewals, amendments, and refinancings.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for borrower/client relationships, coordinating with internal and external parties.
  • Review financial statements, collateral reports, field exams, borrowing-base certificates, aging reports, covenant calculations, and related portfolio materials.
  • Identify early warning signs, recommend risk mitigation steps, and assist with troubled-credit or workout situations.
  • Help improve portfolio management processes, reporting templates, monitoring cadence, and internal controls as the platform grows.
