Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and access to personal vehicles is needed.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent experience is necessary with a license.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Engineer in marine transportation required; 3 years in barge and tankering industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure the completion of onboard preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Support safety and quality objectives through effective vessel design and maintenance administration.
• Conduct and document annual technical vessel visits for preventive maintenance compliance and accurate reporting.
• Assist in developing and managing the fleet maintenance and repair budget.
• Monitor vessel budgets, initiating AFEs for costs exceeding approvals.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders and investigations tracking.
• Verify quality standards of major maintenance work for compliance and safety objectives.
• Oversee project workflows and produce detailed project reports.
