Reporting to the (Chapter Lead) Head of Government Relations, Policy, & Healthcare Ecosystem, the Policy Impact & Effectiveness leads the alignment and implementation of strategic health policy and health system shaping priorities, acts as the interface with the GR team, leaders across the organization.
The Opportunity:- Collaborate with the GR team, Communications and Senior Leaders to understand needs, identify common challenges, and work to deliver aligned cross-country approaches and health policy enablement across the team, division and GR team. Engage team members to scale solutions rapidly, prevent duplication, and identify synergies.
- Accountable for realizing country strategies and supporting outcomes-based plans, including initiating and executing work packages (STOs) to address prioritized outcomes and ensuring alignment with local guidance, market insights, and data.
- Supports and enables affiliates by integrating local stakeholder insights and patient needs into the team's broader policy strategy and facilitating operational enablement. They steward resources, leveraging network expertise and work with the chapter lead to support allocating resources for impact.
Who you are:- Experience and Expertise: 5-7 + years of experience in Life Sciences, Communications, Government Relations with a proven track record in strategic policy development, stakeholder management, advocacy, public affairs, and government relations.
- University degree in communications, political sciences, business administration, health sciences
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the drug development and commercialization process in Canada, industry regulations (e.g., IMC and PAAB), and the therapeutics development & market access processes.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, project and time management skills, and the ability to leverage digital technology and tools for network support and engagement.
- Strategic and Systems Thinking: Expertise in direct government relations, stakeholder engagement, strategic collaboration, and proven track record in building actionable cross-functional integrated plans and policy positions; ability to promote and role-model integrity and compliance
- Excellent communication, influencing, and strategic thinking and planning skills are essential. Experience in matrix-environment people leadership, including building high performing teams, is required.strong leadership with proven impact in senior Policy & HSS roles.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 115,328.00 and 151,368.00 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
