Title: PMOProject Coordinator
Location: Hybrid - Southwest Washington, DC 20003
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Salary: $95,000-$110,000 annually

ROLE
KMRG, LLC (KMRG) is a federal services company that hires talented professionals to support Government agencies and the communities they serve. We are hiring a PMO Project Coordinator to support the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Information Systems (OIS), Information Resources Management Division (IRMD). In this role, you will support IT project delivery within the Project Management Office (PMO) by coordinating requirements, project documentation, schedules, Agile activities, stakeholder communications, risks, issues, and other day-to-day project controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements, Backlog & Business Analysis Support
  • Support requirements gathering, user-story development, acceptance criteria, and backlog refinement for IT projects
  • Work with stakeholders, developers, and project managers to document needs and keep requirements current
  • Maintain and refine project backlogs using tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Teams Planner
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) planning, documentation, and coordination as needed
  • Help organize project information so technical and non-technical stakeholders have clear, usable documentation
  • Coordinate follow-up on requirements, decisions, and assigned actions throughout project delivery
Project Coordination & Agile Delivery Support
  • Assist with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Prepare and update project schedules, agendas, status reports, action logs, and other coordination materials
  • Coordinate project meetings, capture meeting notes, and follow up on assigned actions
  • Support milestone tracking, timeline updates, and dependency monitoring under Project Manager direction
  • Provide general PMO support, including project record maintenance, data entry, and logistics coordination
PMO Governance, Risks & Reporting
  • Support PMO governance activities, including risk and issue tracking and routing documents for review and approval
  • Prepare draft stakeholder updates and reporting inputs for Project Manager and Government review
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Support consistent communication across project teams and help keep project records current and organized
  • Assist with tracking project progress, open actions, dependencies, and other information needed for PMO visibility
Project Tools & Documentation
  • Use collaboration and workflow tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Teams Planner, and Planner Premium
  • Support project documentation and coordination across Waterfall, Kanban, or Agile delivery environments
  • Create clear, accurate project materials that support Government review, decision-making, and project execution

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience providing administrative, coordination, or project-support services
  • Familiarity with project management concepts, workflows, and tools

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS
  • Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using collaboration and workflow tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Teams Planner, and Planner Premium
  • Working knowledge of project coordination activities such as schedules, action tracking, meeting support, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ability to support technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining clear, consistent project records and communications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience supporting IT projects
  • Business Analysis or Agile certification, such as ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, or CSPO
  • Experience with Agile delivery tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis and create process models or workflow diagrams

LOCATION
  • United States Capitol Police (USCP), Southwest Washington, DC 20003

TELEWORK
  • Full-time onsite for the first two months; afterward, positions are generally onsite at least 2 days per week with up to 3 telework days per week, subject to USCP approval and operational needs. USCP may increase or cancel telework temporarily or permanently.

  • United States Capitol Police (USCP)

SECURITY / ACCESS
  • Ability to successfully complete a USCP criminal history check and fingerprinting before performing onsite work
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain a USCP identification/access badge for onsite duties
  • Ability to complete USCP building-access forms and other required onboarding/access processing
  • Ability to protect sensitive and proprietary USCP information and comply with applicable confidentiality requirements
