The Analyst, Equity Research job researches and analyzes complex market-related equity information from internal and external sources. This job advises the firm's portfolio managers in search of investment opportunities for the firm's various equity research growth portfolios, as well as covering existing portfolio holdings. As a subject matter expert in equity research, this job evaluates and interprets complex data for equity growth trends and advises management on new or potentially new product or service development.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Reviews research of securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations.
- Researches the necessary valuation, risk assessment and portfolio construction techniques required to drive the investment portfolio's relative performance versus the benchmark.
- Authors equity research reports and publications to be presented to management.
- Monitors data on competitors and analyzes their investment strategies, prices, sales and method of operation to facilitate recommendations.
- Identifies and forecasts future investment trends with complex statistical data on past sales.
- Refines modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods or other principles.
- Oversees development, maintenance, and execution of portfolio models to assess potential investment opportunities.
- Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level equity research professionals.
Educational Requirements- University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience- 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

Base Pay Range: $193,000/yr - $250,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
