As a Plumbing Estimator you will be expected to prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. What Will You Be Earning?- Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
- Compensation is determined by hiring managers and is based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, and the specific demands of the role.
What Are We Looking For? - Prepare accurate and detailed plumbing estimates and proposals for commercial and/or industrial projects.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and client meetings as required.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, drawings, and related documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Develop project-specific estimating strategies and approach plans.
- Perform material takeoffs, labor analysis, and labor factor adjustments using estimating software.
- Build and maintain estimating assemblies and databases within estimating systems.
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, clients, and internal teams throughout the bidding process.
- Solicit and evaluate competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring all project requirements and addenda are communicated accurately.
- Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and industry partners.
- Provide guidance and support in the training and development of team members.
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately, competitively, and within required deadlines.

Requirements
What Do We Want To See? - Minimum of 8 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience, or 5 years of experience as a Plumbing Foreman in commercial construction.
- Proficiency with plumbing estimating software; experience with FastEST/FastPIPE is preferred.
- Strong ability to review plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential conflicts.
- Experience developing accurate estimates at various stages of project design and completion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
- Skilled in performing detailed material and labor takeoffs for all plumbing systems associated with a project.
- Ability to prepare organized, accurate quantity takeoffs and enter data efficiently into estimating software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) when needed.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates and meet project deadlines.
