Full Job Description
About the Role

The Platform Operations Project Manager is the first dedicated PM within Legacy Service Partners' Platform Operations and Strategy team, playing a foundational role in standing up the company's project management function. You will own the end-to-end management of high-priority platform initiatives, bringing structure, accountability, and execution discipline to projects that span multiple functions and partner companies. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds process where none exists, and has the credibility and communication skills to drive complex work to completion across a decentralized organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Own the full lifecycle of assigned platform initiatives from scoping and planning through execution, tracking, and close-out. Maintain clear project plans, timelines, milestones, and accountability structures for every active workstream.

  • PMO Foundation: Partner with the Senior Platform Operations Manager to build upon existing project management frameworks, templates, and processes. Continue maturing LSP's PMO by enhancing standards, tools, governance, and operating rhythms that improve project execution today while creating scalable infrastructure for future growth.

  • Cross-functional Coordination: Drive alignment and accountability across Finance, Operations, Technology, Marketing, and People teams on projects that require coordinated execution. Ensure workstreams stay on track and nothing falls through the cracks between functions.

  • Partner Operations & Strategic Initiatives: Partner directly with General Managers and local leadership teams to identify, scope, and execute high-impact operational and growth initiatives. Serve as an extension of platform leadership in the field, helping larger partner companies address challenges, implement best practices, improve performance, and drive strategic priorities.

  • Service Line Expansion: Partner with Trade Subject Matter Experts to evolve and refine LSP's service line expansion playbooks. Serve as the project lead for expansion initiatives, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring operational readiness, tracking milestones, and driving execution at the partner level to deliver successful launches.

  • Platform Implementations: Project manage platform wide implementations (i.e. technology or other strategic partner-wide projects), coordinating between internal teams, vendors, and partner companies to ensure implementations are delivered on target.

  • Program Launch and Beta Testing: Lead the launch of new platform programs including inside sales initiatives, loyalty programs, and new revenue opportunities - managing timelines, stakeholder communication, beta partner selection, and results tracking.

  • Reporting and Visibility: Maintain clear, consistent reporting on project status, risks, and outcomes for the SVP of Strategy and senior leadership. Ensure decision-makers always have an accurate picture of where key initiatives stand.

  • Project Risk Management: Identify project risks early, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues with the context and recommendations leadership needs to act quickly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives on time and within scope

  • Prior consulting experience within management consulting is strongly preferred

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred

  • Experience building or contributing to a PMO function preferred

  • Strong proficiency in project management tools and methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across a distributed, multi-stakeholder environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present project status and risks clearly to senior leadership

  • Highly organized with a strong bias toward structure and follow-through

Who You Are

You are a clear communicator who puts employees and partners first, a creative problem-solver who doesn't let things linger, and someone who moves fast without cutting corners. Above all, you hold yourself to a higher standard. In your work, your judgment, and how you treat people.

What Onboarding Looks Like

In your first 30 days, you will learn about the platform's strategic priorities, active initiatives, and key stakeholder landscape while becoming familiar with existing project management processes, tools, and operating rhythms. By day 60, you will have taken ownership of multiple active projects, established your operating cadence with the SVP of Strategy and key stakeholders, and begun enhancing existing PMO frameworks, reporting, and governance practices. By day 90, you will be independently leading critical platform initiatives, providing reliable project visibility and accountability across workstreams, partnering with General Managers on strategic field initiatives, and helping evolve the PMO into a more scalable and effective function as the platform continues to grow.

The 5 Big Things - What Success Looks Like

  • Projects land on time and within scope: Success means the initiatives you own consistently reach their milestones and objectives without scope creep, missed deadlines, or last-minute scrambles, because your planning and accountability structures prevent problems before they occur.

  • The PMO continues to mature and scale: Success means project management standards, tools, and governance are consistently applied across key initiatives, improving execution, visibility, and accountability while establishing the PMO as a trusted partner to platform and field leadership.

  • Cross-functional teams stay aligned: Success means Finance, Operations, Technology, and Marketing counterparts are clear on their roles, deadlines, and dependencies across every project you manage, and nothing stalls because of coordination gaps between functions.

  • Leadership always knows where things stand: Success means the SVP of Strategy and senior leadership never have to chase a project update, because your reporting is accurate, timely, and specific enough that they can make decisions with confidence.

  • New programs launch and learn fast: Success means service line expansions, technology rollouts, and beta programs are executed with enough structure to produce reliable results and enough speed to maintain momentum, and learnings are captured in a way that makes the next launch better than the last.
