Full Job Description
Platform Engineer, Lead
The Opportunity:

This role not only leads the architecture, design, and implementation of secure and scalable cloud and edge computing platforms, but also plays a hands-on part in development, delivery, and troubleshooting. You will guide team members on best practices for deploying in a repeatable and secure manner but also ensure underlying reliability of a platform as it undergoes rapid development and deployments. You'll drive productization efforts, directly improve platform reliability through active involvement, and oversee DevSecOps automation across multiple classification domains-emphasizing technical execution and problem-solving as much as architectural leadership.

You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good.

What You'll Work On:
  • Architect cloud-to-edge pipelines and distributed edge platforms.
  • Design scalable architectures for enterprise and tactical edge systems.
  • Establish baseline configurations from hardware to automated deployments.
  • Deploy and maintain Kubernetes and Rancher environments.
  • Design, execute, and automate RGS Harvester configuration baselines, including initial configurations, network bootstrapping, image seeding, and application initialization.
  • Enhance observability and reliability using Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS native services.
  • Lead the development and optimization of DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Architect and deploy pipelines in hybrid environments.
  • Support ATO efforts for platforms and software.
  • Develop automation using Terraform, Python, Helm, and related tools.
  • Implement automated patching and compliance workflows using AWS Systems Manager.
  • Onboard and support application teams adopting cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot distributed systems and lead incident response activities.
  • Guide teams through PI planning and Agile delivery cycles.
  • Lead technical teams on multi-million-dollar federal modernization efforts.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or platform architecture
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and GitHub CI/CD
  • Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and secure cloud environments
  • Ability to lead engineering teams within Agile frameworks
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with cloud-to-edge or tactical edge systems
  • Experience with agentic-assisted software development
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, Observability, and Harvester based systems
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certification
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
