Job Summary
We are seeking a Platform Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD, and observability. The ideal candidate will build reusable automation solutions and platform capabilities that improve developer productivity, operational reliability, and software delivery while supporting modern cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain platform automation solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Design, enhance, and operate internal platform capabilities to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.
• Develop reusable frameworks and tooling for deployments, monitoring, remediation, reporting, and self-service operations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable software delivery.
• Drive observability initiatives using metrics, dashboards, logging, monitoring, and alerting platforms.
• Collaborate with application teams to improve platform adoption, deployment standards, and operational excellence.
• Support and enhance Kubernetes-based application platforms and deployment frameworks.
• Work with authentication and authorization technologies, including OAuth2, SSO, and JWT.
• Analyze application, infrastructure, and database performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to reliability engineering practices through automation, resilience, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Partner with engineering teams to reduce operational effort through automation and platform improvements.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, automation, or related roles.
• Strong experience with Python development and automation.
• Experience building operational tooling, automation frameworks, or platform services.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Good understanding of SQL and database fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in enterprise environments.
• Understanding of web applications, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with authentication technologies such as OAuth2, SSO, and JWT.
• Strong troubleshooting and system-level problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
• Experience with Platform Engineering or Internal Developer Platforms.
• Experience building self-healing or auto-remediation solutions.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and services.
• Experience with AI-assisted automation and operational tooling.
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
