Full Job Description
The Platform Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled Platform Administrator to support a hybrid infrastructure environment across both Windows and Linux platforms. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Windows Server OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9), with a heavy focus on deep OS-level troubleshooting and system performance analysis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a hybrid cloud and traditional datacenter environment, supporting critical systems and ensuring stability across platforms.

This role will also be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and remediating OS-level vulnerabilities, including applying security patches, responding to emerging CVEs, and ensuring systems remain compliant with enterprise security standards. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation and is aligned to a 2nd shift schedule, requiring candidates who can work effectively in an operational support model during non-standard hours. Experience with automation scripting like PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform as well as experience with networking is a plus. Preference will be given to local candidates, as the role may require hands-on support within the datacenter, including physical server and infrastructure work as needed. We are looking for someone who is highly analytical, proactive in identifying issues, and capable of driving resolution in complex enterprise environments.

Note:
  • Preference will be given to candidates in the vicinity of Chattanooga, TN.
  • On-call rotation is required with a schedule of 1 week, every 7 - 8 weeks, starting approximately 60 days into the role.
  • Working hours must align to Eastern Standard Time.
  • Sponsorship is unavailable for this role.

  • Must be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.


Job Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent years of experience is required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as 4 years of professional experience.


Experience
  • 3 years - Experience in a platform/release support role required.
