Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent PositionSchedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdaysDuties & Responsibilities- Strategically allocate crew and operators to achieve production targets in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Analyze plant operations and processes to identify and implement rectification, development, and improvement solutions.
- Provide technical support and advice on plant processes and improvement of safety, costs, plant, and equipment.
- Lead and conduct daily morning meetings to discuss priorities, safety topics, and operational updates, ensuring a cohesive and informed workforce.
- Manage attendance, ensuring accurate time and payroll recordkeeping.
- Dynamically adjust operations in response to shifting conditions throughout each shift.
- Identify operator skill gaps and collaborate with the Plant Superintendent and Plant Manager to enhance performance and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Document crew performance and production metrics promptly and accurately.
- Actively engage in and promote initiatives to boost employee morale.
- Ensure plant operations comply with quality standards, managing audits and optimizing product recovery and quality.
- Lead thorough investigations into operational incidents, focusing on root causes and preventive measures.
- Cultivate a strong culture of safety by actively involving the team in safety programs and ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Resolve, document, and escalate personnel issues as appropriate, maintaining a productive and respectful work environment.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualifications- Valid BC Mine Supervisor Certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a plant environment.
- A minimum of three (3) years' demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a mining or similar heavy industrial environment.
- Prior experience in coal mining is considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency using various software and applications.
- Knowledge and experience in environmental management practices, especially in spill avoidance, containment, and reporting, reflecting a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Technical Competencies & Skills- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on a 7x7 rotation.
- Proficient in English communication, essential for clear and effective team leadership, safety compliance, and operational coordination.
- Leadership, mentoring, and communication skills, vital for building a cohesive, efficient, and motivated maintenance team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, enabling effective troubleshooting and maintenance strategies.
- The ability to build strong relationships and foster a culture of safety, integrity, and teamwork, essential for maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, alongside the capacity to quickly adapt to computer software programs necessary for managing employee administrative tasks such as timecards, vacation requests, and leaves.
- Demonstrated stress and time management competencies, crucial for managing the demands of a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure work environment.
- A motivational leadership style that encourages team engagement and drives the achievement of safety and operational targets, contributing to a positive work culture.

Specifically for the Plant Supervisor role, we offer an annual base salary range of $105,000.00 - $115,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses.
