Plant Superintendent (full time)

Grande Prairie, AB / Grassland, AB, Canada | req32326

As Plant Superintendent, you are responsible for the safe and reliable operation of unmanned Onsite Industrial Gas Production Facilities. Your primary facilities are VPSA Oxygen facilities located in Grande Prairie, AB and Grassland, AB. The ideal candidate would currently reside in Grande Prairie, AB or Grassland, AB. The role requires travel and after-hours support.

What you will enjoy doing*

  • This role is a mix of operations, maintenance, and site coordination, where you'll be responsible for keeping the plant running safely and efficiently.
  • You'll use your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment or process issues and handle minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • You'll help plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including shutdowns/turnarounds, and work with contractors when additional support is needed.
  • Part of the role involves tracking maintenance records, managing spare parts inventory, and making sure equipment inspections are completed on schedule.
  • You'll be the main point of contact for customers regarding plant status and will ensure quality requirements are consistently met.
  • There is some administrative responsibility as well, including expense tracking, purchasing parts and materials, and supporting capital project reporting.
  • Safety is a major focus, so you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, completing investigations, and following up on audit/action items.
  • You'll also manage the electronic work order system, maintain accurate records, and stay up to date with all required safety training.

  • The role is physically active and requires lifting up to 25 kg, climbing stairs and ladders, working in confined spaces, and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
