Job Highlights

  • The position is responsible for all manufacturing at the East Hanover site including shipping and receiving operations. Manufacturing at the site includes the following areas lubricants blending, chemical plant operations, grease manufacturing and finished goods packaging.The site is a Process Safety Management regulated (PSM) site.
  • Reports include direct reports consisting of production supervisors and process engineer(s), and indirect reports consisting of area leads, operators and shipping and receiving personnel
  • Manages Production Operations within a production department possibly multiple shifts or across several departments on a single shift. Coordinates separate manufacturing operations or areas using common production equipment, methods, and standards
  • Directs all related manufacturing personnel actions, including final selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, and safety
  • Position is responsible for development and attainment of production schedules at optimum productivity, quality and cost levels
  • Provides technical and operational coaching to Production Supervision/Shift Leaders
    Directs production activities to achieve targeted volumes, productivity and cost performance.
    Leads manufacturing strategic planning to ensure manufacturing capabilities are able to meet current and planned business needs and directly oversees tactical execution of these plans.
  • Recommends and implements improvements in production flow or methods
  • Exhibits strong safety leadership and is competent in the areas of Process Safety Management including but not limited to PHAs, Hazard studies, Management of Change
  • Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations


Experience / Skills

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering/Master Preferred
  • Required Years of Professional experience >10 years
  • Leadership experience required
  • Professional experience in operations required
  • Project management experience required
  • Senior management and strategy experience strongly preferred
  • Lean manufactruring experience strongly preferred

In accordance with New Jersey state requirements, the established pay range for this position is a Min $121,600 to a max of $202,600. Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
